This page explains how Build With Me Ghana expects this control to work on the platform. It is written as operational guidance for customers, providers, and support teams.
Material fulfilment choices
- After a material purchase, the customer may choose to keep the materials in storage, pick up from a collection point, or request delivery.
- These choices exist because a construction customer may buy early to protect against price increases but may not be ready to receive all materials immediately.
Keep in storage
- Storage fees are calculated from admin settings and the selected storage duration.
- When storage is paid, the item moves to the customer dashboard storage section and a storage timer begins.
- If storage expires, pickup and delivery can be restricted until overdue storage is paid or extended.
Pickup from nearest collection point
- The platform uses customer location, collection point location, and available inventory to select the nearest suitable collection point.
- The collection point is prompted to prepare the order for pickup.
- A customer who selected pickup may later change to storage or delivery if the order status allows it.
Request delivery
- The platform selects an eligible collection point by stock and proximity, then assigns a delivery professional based on capacity, vehicle type, and guarantor relationship rules.
- Delivery charge calculation may include distance, vehicle class, total weight, total volume, loading or handling factors, and admin-defined minimum fees.
Fulfilment pricing note
- When a collection point fulfils an order after a long storage period, the fulfilment view should show the current fulfilment value and product details while preserving the customer purchase record.
